Kao posljedica tome gu\u0161tera\u010da izlu\u010duje inzulin kojem je funkcija da se taj \u0161e\u0107er prenosi u stanice gdje se dio iskori\u0161tava kao energija, dio se pohrani u rezerve glikogena, a vi\u0161ak se pretvara u masti, nakon \u010dega se razina \u0161e\u0107era u krvi smanjuje i ponovno nastupa osje\u0107aj gladi.
