Mozak treba B vitamine u proizvodnji neurotransmitera koji utje\u010du na osje\u0107aj umirenja poput serotonina kojeg jo\u0161 nazivamo hormon sre\u0107e. Sre\u0107om B vitamine nije te\u0161ko prona\u0107i u prehrani, ipak zbog nepravilne prehrane \u010desto se doga\u0111a manjak B vitamina. Vanjski sloj \u017eitarica bogat je B vitaminima, dok lju\u0161tenjem \u017eitarice gube dragocjene vitamine, minerale i vlakna te ostaje samo \u0161krob i dio glutena bez sadr\u017eaja mikronutrijenata. Cjelovite \u017eitarice poput p\u0161enice ra\u017ei, zobi, heljede itd. bogate su sadr\u017eajem B vitamina. Tako\u0111er B vitamine nalazimo u mahunarkama (grahu, gra\u0161ku, le\u0107i, bobu), p\u0161eni\u010dnim klicama, mladoj zelenoj p\u0161enici, banane, jaja, kikiriki, gljive, gro\u017e\u0111e i mlije\u010dni proizvodi.
