S obzirom da visceralno masno tkivo ima utjecaja na vitalne organe mo\u017ee utjecati i na njihove funkcije u organizmu i posljedi\u010dno dovesti do razvoja kroni\u010dnih bolesti.<\/p>\n<p>Svaka osoba ima odre\u0111eni udio visceralne masti, a dobrim indikatorom udjela smatra se opseg struka iz razloga \u0161to je visceralno masno tkivo lokalizirano u trbu\u0161noj \u0161upljini. Opseg struka ve\u0107i od 88 cm za \u017eene i 102 cm za mu\u0161karce ozna\u010dava ve\u0107i rizik za obolijevanje od dijabetesa tipa 2, bolesti srca i krvo\u017eilnog sustava.
